Indeed the B4PPC 6.90 package does work (i.e. compile) on my desktop with a fresh XP installation.
So the problem is with the Vista notebook and the prerequisite library installations.
Will try my luck again.

Well B4ppc is similar to Visual Basic. But these days object orientated programming is much of a muchness.

Although i had done all below:- I still got the error message (Unknown email address.Do you want to enter another address?)
1. Uninstall any version of Basic4PPC you may have installed using this method...
2. Delete this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user_name>\Application Data\Anywhere Software
You have to turn on "View hidden files and folders" in Windows Explorer folder options to see this one
3. Install Basic4PPC from farshid's post, it should now ask for a license file and e-mail.

I had trouble with a legally purchased copy of Basic4PPC in this exact way. It happens if you have had a previous version on the computer. I chose to reinstall my operating system afresh to get it to work. I never tried the method you mention but others got it to work this way.

I had tried to clean all about basic4ppc at registry, but still can't pass the email field, may be i need to reinstall my os to use this software as you said .
