Overview: Voogle is a Google Voice client for webOS. With Voogle, you can read and listen to your voice messages, listen to recorded calls, make calls from your Google Voice number and text from within the app.




Supported folders in Voogle are Inbox, Starred, Voicemail, Texts, Recorded, Placed, Received, Missed, All and Unread. All messages in the folder view are clearly marked with their type (SMS, Voicemail, etc.) and if they are starred or unread. Voogle's interface is very similar to webOS' default interface so making the switch from the default dial-pad or default messaging client is extremely easy. Voogle also supports cross-app launching so pretty soon some of your other favorite apps can start utilizing the power of Voogle. This is Voogle2 which is the next major update to Voogle. Notifications are going to be implemented in the next version. Note: 2-step authentication does NOT work with this app.

thank you so much for voogle! Been waiting for this for soooo long! Gave you the 40WRZ$ as promised. I'm almost out of points but it was well worth it.

im still testing it, mostly works, but does anyone know if I need to keep the app opened in order to receive text notifications?

That seems to be the case for me. I was hoping notifications would come up even when the app isn't open, but can't seem to figure out how to do that or if it's at all possible. In every other way, it works great. One other thing I wish it had is the ability to listen to voicemails through the earpiece and not through the speaker.

It says that you can call and text from within the application itself. So, the application calls over WiFi or just transfers the call to the mobile and then connects to the other phone?

When you sign up for an account you get your own Google Voice phone number.
It's just like using an actual phone, except it's through Google.
So it calls over WiFi just through the Google Voice number that was assigned to you.

Calls are not over wifi, they use minutes....the application sends to a server the number to call and Google Voice calls you back and connects.

Texts are over wifi/data.

Both are down, anyone have a mirror?
