Frankly speaking, these ads don't effect me much, sometimes you may come thru certain things that you don't know by these ads in fact....

These ads permanently appear and, what is even more annoying, is the count down timer, so that I even can't close the app before having looked at the count down for 10 seconds.
Browsing through mobilism is no fun any more and I do it more and more rarely :( :( :(

(Even while doing this post, I had to look 3 times at the count down timer and the ad - horrible!!!!)

Enable cookies! The ad should appear once every 24 hours. If for some reason its not working try another browser.

Again, if you're getting the ad every other page, you should block it. We'd rather have you enjoy the mobilism experience than lose a little profit.

I wonder what the results would be if we re-ran this thread?
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=162325

It just seems like the overall opinion was that the ads weren't too intrusive. So then we get full page ads? Now full page ads with a countdown timer? What's next?

I know, i can enable cookies or download additional software to block ads. I have cookies enabled but very often run ccleaner or delete all history. It's kinda habitual. Maybe we should quit using anonym.to and really enable all cookies?

Flame away... This post ended up a little more bitchy than I expected.

Nobodys gonna flame you... we'll rerun the survey soon, but this ad is meant to show only every 24 hours and I think most people would agree once in 24 hrs isnt very intrusive. What do you mean about disabling anonym.to?

...but, unfortunately, it doesn't!
I do have enabled cookies and, no, I can't install another browser because it's a centrally administrated PC. So, if you don't stop these aids, I fear, you'll loose members. :(

Im a VIP user and I still see it. It's a whole lot of fun chasing that ad around the screen in opera mobile 10 on a PPC. Took me about a 1/2 hr to view the site after I logged in. Sure wish I could remember what finally made the ad go away. I get that the support is needed for the site but does it have to be full page? It may be easy on pc to just click past it but on PPC it makes a decent browsing experience a nightmare.

VIPs dont get it, you sure you were logged in?

We switched full page ad providers earlier today to see if this stops the problem for you guys.

New type of full page advertisement appearing since an hour or so on pretty much every link I click and/or every refresh I make. Ads by gunggo with countdown timer. Would be less intrusive if it would automatically continue to the links once the timer reaches 0 but you you have to click to continue to the link.

Google has shown with its text based ads that it is possible to have ads on a site that are not annoying to visitors but are still effective, full page ads with countdown timers are chasing people away from your site.

It's an efficient way of keeping the site going :)

It IS a massive problem on a mobile though. I'm using Dolphin Mini on an Android, and it was impossible to get to the top right corner to click away...

However, I found a workaround: wait until it's loaded, and click refresh. It no longer appears, and you get the page you wanted to see ;)

Well I have cookies enabled (that said mobilism has often been keen to ignore them and log me out anyway) and i'm now getting this gungho fullscreen ad at least every couple of pages. I turned adblocker back on but all adblocker can do is block the content, the frame is still there giving a 7 second (apparently it's 10 seconds, maybe my connection is slowing again!) delay on each page.
