Night of the Living Dead: London by Clive Barker
Requirements: CBR reader, 23 Mb each
Overview: This seems to be one of those forgotten graphic novels that chronicles the questionable evolution of the zombie tale and the way powerhouse writer/artists work together. It isn't overly complicated in what it offers; there are zombies haunting the streets of London and hiding seems to be the only way to stay alive. It is a human drama, basically, reminding me of offerings that have come from everything from the books namesake to newer movies like 28 Days Later. The interesting thing is that it has the writing of Clive Barker and Steve Niles working together, and the art of Kastro going for it.

A bit of British blood and guts with the royals joining in with the zombie fun. This is part of a series of Zombie stories related to the original Night of the Living Dead movie that take place in different spots all over the world. London focuses on the Royal family, told from the perspective of the Arch Bishop of London. The story takes place years after zombies have taken over and all that is left is a small enclave at Buckingham Palace that includes the Queen and all her offspring. She is interested in getting her son married off to another royal to carry on the royal bloodline so they search for another royal still alive out in the world.
The story continues in another tome I am hopeful that I can find entitled 'End of the Line'. Since this was made in 1993 it might be hard to find other pieces of this story arc but if you are a zombie fan than this is a nice little addition. Quality artwork and a fun little story.
