Going through the Mobilism Market app thread, I find that some people are giving feedback on how to improve it. But this is all mix up with other feedbacks and these suggestions can get lost.

So if you got a great idea or wants a feature to be included or excluded in the Mobilism Market, please post it here. I will give out WRZ$5 to anyone who contributes improvement suggestions or feedback on the current app.

 

Please provide us with an option to copy the text. It becomes difficult if I want to copy a link posted by someone in replies to some application.

the ability to reply to threads from the app instead of only being able to read them.

Maybe internally download like you would from android market??

Here is something i sent to Disk4mat about my thoughts of the app in the first few days of V1.1. I will say that he already commented are what is possible and what isn't but maybe this can serve for future reference...

So after a few days of using the app here are a few observations/suggestions.

First off i love the new app, I like the fact i can get into android right away and not have to see aps from other platforms.
I dont understand the whole favorites thing, unless its purpose is if you are following a post you can see new post ppl put. Problem with that brings me to my first suggestion, I wish i could login and post a comment on a forum.

In my applications i wish it could search all my apps so i dont have to select each one. Or at least a button i could press to manually invoke a search of all apps. This way i wont need a separate app such as trackDog to know if i need to update an app.

Also for us Premium ppl maybe an option to advise if a file isn't d/l properly from the server. Ive been getting a lot of failed to d/l notifications but when i use a reg link it works fine. also there are some that dont have premium d/l links. Not sure if that was on purpose.

Im sure all of this has been brought your attention already but i said i would let you know what i found.

EDIT: one more idea. If at all possible there can be some indicator on the online site to show which apps i downloaded through the app this way i dont always have to check the version on my phone while im browsing online.

1st maybe adding the option to select sorting order like on the site or at least adding the option of alphabetical order. This is useful when for example searching doesn't give anything because of a bad typo ordering alphabetically let's u search Apps easily one by one. If this is implemented maybe also adding a bar on the side to slide down for the starting letter of the Apps you are looking for might be useful. 2nd after selecting an app u get all the download links together at the end but it doesn't specify for what devices those links are for. Like for example if you go to the website you will see "for desire hd" then the link or "for adreno" then the link and so on. would this be posible to implement on the app itself? I find my self from the app selecting "website" to make sure what is compatible with my phone and what not. 3rd maybe if posible improve the update function as stated before the app itself notifying for updates and not having to select each one to check for updates would be great. 4th if posible adding a link checker and maybe a green check mark for the ones verified working. 5th maybe adding more, different, and/or more reliable file hosters sometimes links don't download correctly or they just die to quickly.

Totally agrre with this post. The premium links often are not working for me, in addition the filesonic links seems to not download as apk file so I am forced to dl on my pc...

antt: Have you tried changing the extension of the file downloaded through filesonic to .apk

I think Mobilism is a great site. Sometimes a little bit difficult to find stuff, but that's what I have the Mobilism market app on my tablet.
I use Mobilism to test paid apps before I buy them (Yes, I really buy them if they are good!).
Hope you get the MM apk running again soon.
I usually download on my PC, as my Android tablet has a lot of problems with downloads. I do not think it is a problem with the MM apk, but with my tablet.

And the "M" logo will change to a 3d rotating skull with bones(cliché pirate movie/hollywood one, well you know) when downloading, and it'll fill up with whit colour as it progresses in downloading!

So I've put effort in it, so you better use it

Oh I forgot to mention, I'm suggesting just the UI layout, the colour, well overall looks is of course up to you, hence the black, uh, everything.

Comments inside the apps. Like the Android Market and a star based rating system because I really don't like having to go find the app in the App store just to find out if its any good. I think it would work fine because really, how long does it take to click a star.

Could link the star system in the app with the rating system in the forum 1/10 instead of 1/5 tho, I personally don't mind having to open a browser to download from different hosting sites, but I would also like an option to rate/reply to a thread, and an ability to sort apps by date or name etc.

I love the app, but please add a way to view feedback for the release (ie. comments, posts, etc)

I worry very much that some virus filled apps will be uploaded, but I will not know it since I cannot see the comments that talk about the virus.

Darkster, you can already view the comments. While on a post, just click the menu button and tap on replies. Now, as for improvements, let us login from the application to post replies, etc. Also, it'd be nice if the UI continued to be worked on... Not the prettiest thing.

Is there already an easy way to 'rate' the apps from within the market? Like just clicking from 1 to 5 stars

No.

I dont really think we need a star system mainly b/c if your coming here for an app you know what your looking for. and if not you can go to the marker and see what users say before you d/l here. Just a thought.
