It is no longer trying to update without asking. Guess it was user error. From the app manager I was able to delete the failed update and it left me with the original app.

HP Touchpad WebOS 3.0.2

Once any side-loaded app is installed it appears to be automatically linked to HPs? / WebOS "Market". It automatically tries to update any of these apps. This process seems to remove the one installed and then the update fails leaving you with neither version. Looking for a way to stop the automatic update so I can use what I pushed to the phone. Is this possible?

Once the update attempt starts its already to late. If I try to use any of the applications it will direct me to the HP Market to download the latest version.
