Reborn Skin v1.5.5 for iGO MyWay v8.4.3.179971 on Android

This skin (aka My Amigo Skin) was originally made for Amigo on WM and was ported over to the Android platform. Credit goes to freddysam and mmarz for starting this skin. The skin itself contains multiple sets of POI icons. You can change the icons individually by going to "More..." -> "Manage Places", or you can change the icons in bulk by using one of these branding.gro files:

If you want to revert back to the default POI icon set (Branding 1), use the branding.gro included with the skin or simply delete the branding.gro that you are using.

Installation:
-Install the igo-thin apk developed by luboz.
-Copy the iGO folder from the igo-thin archive onto your sdcard.
-Copy the iGO folder from this archive onto your sdcard and allow it to overwrite any conflicting files.
-Run iGO and Enjoy!

How to add custom POI using KML files:

UPOI Editor will do this automagically, and for large sets of POIs at that--and it exports cleanly to KML that iGO will take natively, so I think we're fixed :D

Suggestions for icons--you'll need to do them in BMP format, 40x40 would appear to be the practical limit if the big "icon stacks" out of a standard branding.gro or data.gro file are anything to go by, though a lot of these are 32x32. Nmollet's PNG icons for Google Maps converted to BMP (http://mapicons.nicolasmollet.com/) work quite well in iGO once KML files have the appropriate headers, and these are just straight BMP conversions from a 32x37 PNG file.

I have a LG P500 with 320x480 resolution, and fail to make poi and skin.

I put here:Android\data\data\com.navngo.igo.javaclient
here:data\data\com.navngo.igo.javaclient

and not working. Does anyone know what should I do?

I'm not sure why it is not working. What happens when you try to load it? Does it give an error message?

there was a feature in v40 that is missing in the android version, when you first load igo and you dont touch anything, it would load up the navigation screen after 10 seconds or so. can you add that back in? thank you

For "Display Current Address" -> Long Format

Instead of listing the actual town/city, it will list the addres, the "area" that town/city is part of, then the proper zip code for that town/city. It would be nice if it displayed the actual town/city, which it seems it should be able to do, since it is displaying the proper zip code.

The city it shows is the same as the city name that would show up if you selected that spot on the map within iGo. It is built into the data of the map. As far as iGO is concerned, that area is the name of the city. There isn't much I can do about that. It annoys me as well.


I just uploaded a major update. I fixed a bunch of bugs.

Too bad they decided to implement it that way. They have that data somewhere in the map because you can enter a destination using the specific town/city. I understand your explanation that it is not made available to the skin.

Minor bug

More->Regional->Voice Profile

Green [Next] brings you to "Time Format and Units", where [Back] button brings you back to "Voice Profile"
You are basically stuck in UI loop. The shortcut where press-and-hold [Back] button to bring you back to map can be used to workaround.

Suggest replacing Green [Next} button with Green [Done] button like the one used for "Program Language"

It is a little confusing to have the letters
1) not sequentially listed (next letter after F is J)
2) read left to right for the first 3 rows (A-F, J-O, S-X) and top to bottom for the last 3 rows (G-I, P-R, Y-Z)

Number/alternate character entry would need to be adjusted also for logical organization/entry
