Trick 'r Treat by Michael Dougherty and Marc Andreyko - C -
Requirements: CBR Reader, Multimedia Player. 65 MB, 165 MB.
Overview: Trick’r Treat is a horror compilation of intertwined short stories that take place in the same town on Halloween. The tales are straightforward and creepy. Remarkably, although a different illustrator has taken each chapter, they all have done an incredible job of keeping up the same dark and ominous atmosphere, with a suggestion of the mischief that comes with Halloween. The stories revolve around themes familiar to readers of horror, but are well written and effective, and will bring a smile to even the most jaded fan of Halloween horror.

Writer / Director Michael Dougherty's Multi-faceted tales of horror and suspense are brought to life by writer Marc Andreko (Manhunter) and Artists Mike Huddleston (Man-Bat, Gen13), Grant Bond, Christopher Gugliotti (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Fiona Staple (North 40)

Halloween has always been a night of tricks and treats, but this year, it's nothing but a cornucopia of tricks as werewolves, demons, killers and zombies celebrate the festival of Samhain! Featuring a cover from the film's concept designer Breehn Burns and based on the Warner Bros. film from writer/director Michael Dougherty (X2, Superman Returns) starring Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker, and Brian Cox!

This is an enjoyable read and is exact copy of the film. If you haven't seen the film, then watch it first because a lot of the twists & turns are fun in the film and if you read them here they'll have less of an impact when you watch the film. They don't carry as much weight in the comic book format so watch the film first. Then read this because it's still great fun.
