I'm using an Inspire 4G running CoreDroid V8.1 (2.3.4)

Going to number the steps for easy following:


1. data wiped, and then app uninstalled
2. regular premium installed
2a. got the 3 minute trial timeout, Van/Chi game succesffully streamed
3. Installed your "Patched" version, oddly successful results

What I mean by "oddly" successful:
With your patched version, Location Spoofer doesn't work, all games appear blacked out (no red TV icon). But if I disable Location Spoofer, all the games show up.

I think this is a really messed up isolated issue on my Nexus S, but it seems that your v2 Patch is working. The location issue doesn't seem to be an issue with the NHL app itself, so consider this a thumbs up!

Does anyone have this working on a Xoom? I attempted it today and it installs and runs, but all of the videos simply attempt to run and then the app simply switches back to the main screen of the app. No video. Let me know.

Well I'm not certain what the issue is/was but I wiped data, uninstalled version 2 and then re-installed the v1 and it worked without a problem. *shrug*

As for the Xoom, I believe the problem is due to Honeycomb. I tried (and asked some people to try) on different tablets and it always fails when using Honeycomb. The app is usable, radio feed works, but video stream fails and the app returns to the main screen.

Someone I know who bought a live subscription can't even use it on his Iconia A500 (which runs Honeycomb), it does the exact same thing that you described.

Issues like that are issues that we won't be able to fix since we can't work in the source code, so we must wait for NHL to work on that. We cannot really fix things that are not working in the unmodified app itself. Well it's technically possible, but it will require 2 full days to do something that would take 20 seconds when working with the source code.



I've also had odd results when spoofing my location, I don't know if it's due to the Location Spoofer app acting up weird or the NHL app not seeing the location properly.

By the way, here is my setup in Location Spoofer...

- Latitude and Longitude: Anywhere out of North America.
- Duration (minutes): 180
- Move randomly around this location: unchecked
- Spoof GPS location too (real GPS location might not work till reboot): unchecked

I was having way less locations issues with last years version than this years while using the same Location Spoofer app, so I believe there's something done wrong in the NHL app. Working on the location check is something I plan on doing eventually.

I had similar issues with last years version too. There were times when I'd have to restart the phone, run the location spoofer first, then open the NHL app. Eventually, I always got the feeds to work. The same thing goes for this year's version, but it's not that big of a deal. They always end up playing, and it's a small price to pay for saving $160.

In my case, I tried both the free and paid versions of Location Spoofer, as well as Fake GPS. Neither seem to allow me to view any games when they are enabled. But when I turn off the GPS spoofing app, then all games become enabled. I've become accustomed to just going into (first) Location Spoofer, enabling it and then disabling it, and then opening up the NHL app. This seems to work every time. Strange.

Location Spoofer (free version) works great for me on my Nexus S.

I tried it on my galaxy tab 10.1 and video didn't work. But on my photon video works great. Wish it would work on my tab.

You're right, I did some tests on different roms on my Nexus S today and I got the exact same result as you. It's very strange that it doesn't work when Location Spoofer is on and that it works when location spoofer is off. I never have any of those problems on my CM7 rom which I use everyday though, so I'm not sure what causes this exactly, it's hard to identify a trouble when using a combination of 2 apps to see a game.



Yes, I think this confirms my previous theory (plus the fact that I tested the app on more Honeycomb apps today) where I said that video stream doesn't work on any Honeycomb device. So far, I tested on 3 real Honeycomb devices, 2 devices with unofficial builds and also on the HC SDK and none of them played the video stream. You confirmed the same thing again on a different device. We most likely will need to wait for NHL to fix that since I'm sure there is a fair amount of coding involved to resolve this.

The way this is going, I'm almost sure it won't be working on Ice Cream Sandwich when it comes out. By the way, I've also tested watching a game running ICS SDK build on my Nexus S, but I got the exact same result that I got on an Honeycomb device.

i have an evo, and everything works great with location spoofer, besides the hdmi out. i haven't tried to real version yet, but i'm going to later... anyone else have the same problem?

I see all the live icons but when i click on one of them, it says Alert: player can not load details.

I can see the condensed games but not the quick clips or raw clips.

for what it's worth, I'm on CM7 (7.1.0.1) as well.

you think these problems might also be somehow network based? i'm on Telus.

Weird, I don't think it's network based then since I'm also on Telus. I will do more tests to see if I can see what could be causing this. At least it works, it's just acting weird.

**EDIT: Just tought about it... It's sure it's not network based since it runs fine on my Nook Color (running CM7) and it's WiFi only.**
