'Kindergarten'? Argh! You couldn't have closed your cave with a wooden door, couldn't you? Or a plastic one? Or - before you suggest it - put a football goal instead of the door... I couldn't find it anyway... See? I thought of it before you! (Shut up, Professor!)

Seriously, did you need three days to have the result of something you did or make during the first hours? Or did you have to work on something during three days to finally achieve it? It took well over 2 days work to achieve the result, whilst waiting he was doing the tango "Slow, slow, quick-quick slow,"

PS: I won't accept 'sitting on a stone and thinking about the meaning of life' as working in my question.
You take all the fun out of life Bubbles
The next riddle is called "The Witch Queen and includes a pestle & mortar

Well it looks as if this one has got everybody beat :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

There is a lack of applied logic in these questions. So perhaps I can hint as to the correct approach unless sherlockx censors this post. :( I wouldn't do that Prof
If you are looking for the alchemical 5th, 6th 7th. elements etc then as Obi-Wan Kenobi would say look to the dark side of the force. Sherlockx has given you the Yang consider the Yin.

Just as a side note, it was Darth Vader that would say that :D ~ Tattle

I know, I know... Sherlockx is going to say we haven't been doing anything else since the beginning of this riddle, but maybe we should ask some stupid or ridiculous questions for a change. Who knows we might stumble on an idea or hint?

Like this one: did he have to talk to escape? No, but he was heard singing a little song. (snicker snicker wonder if she will dare to ask?) :twisted:

Btw, dear Sherlockx, though you started this riddle with the words 'Right no more Mr. Nice Guy' - followed by a picture of you - may we nevertheless consider you have given (a) hint(s) in your replies here? None whatsoever,but it really is quite a simple riddle. May I suggest that having eliminated what is not involved in the answer then whatever possibilities remain no matter how improbable are likely to lead you to the solution. The Prof gave a hint but I expect it was too subtle for you.

Was he tempted to eat the mushrooms? Yes
Did he drink any of the water? Yes

and give some clues!

Sigh, I was having such fun watching people struggle. Oh well I am in a better mood now I have a new fly swatter.
To solve this you will need to use 2 of the elements to create a fifth negative element.
hmm might as well have told them the answer
:(

This is the fourth element, earth, do not attempt to eat the mushrooms as they are very poisonous unless cooked with a special lichen which does not grow in this cave the shaman explained.
Some 30 paces further and the temperature became unbearably hot due to a large well like hole at the bottom of which
was bubbling magma. Fire the fourth element the shaman mentioned.
Not sure what exactly is the fourth element. Picky picky the four alchemical elements were earth air fire & water

Are these the elements, from which two have to be combined, Sherlockx?

-----> wind, water, earth, fire
yes although combining two is only the start :twisted:
Now can I get back to my fly swatter?

wind, water, earth, fire

Just thinking loud...

water + fire --> steam
water + earth --> mud
water + earth + fire --> stone (?)
wind + fire --> smoke

Tell us, Shocking blue, did he swim/dive during his stay/escape, or did he dig in any way? No
Anyway what are you doing online? I thought they had you under house arrest in Belselare with no internet access :twisted:
