Zach's Comics Art gallery.

Welcome to this Art gallery. eBook visitors are a reading community. Though we love good writing and original storyline, we sometimes forget how much the drawing and art make part of the journey a writer hopes to drag you into when you seize the first page of his book. In this 'gallery', I'd like to focus on the 'art' used for that purpose, posting some samples of drawings I think deserve to be watched at, as making part of a book they tend to be overlooked or ignored.

Tap the frames picture to view it in real-size. Tap the corresponding comics title to go to the release post.

PS. The gallery is not open yet - more rooms to come - but you may watch while we're working... ;)

The Comics 'art' crew.

"Paintings"

In our haste to discover a new story, or to reveal the plot of the book, we sometimes overlook some nice drawings that artists spend much time on. We lifted some out of their specific context, and post them here. Tap the frames picture to view it in real-size. Tap the corresponding comics title to go to the release post.

"Eyes"

"Your eyes are the eyes of a woman in love." is a well-known song from Frankie Laine. Eyes are fascinating. Eyes are unique. Eyes tell everything. Taylor Hicks knew it also in his song 'Lay My Hat, when he sang "By the look in your eyes I can tell you're gonna cry"... Compared to novel writers, who have plenty of white pages and liters of ink to describe someone's state of mind, comic artist have only one 'shot', one picture, if they want to draw the eyes of their character in such a way the reader may guess what's going on in his head. Or - on the contrary - to create a doubt...

In this part of the Comics Art Gallery, you'll find some eye drawings from comics released on this site. Beneath every panel there's the link to the comics release post. We won't tell what they express, or who they belong to. Up to you to discover that yourself while reading the comics. You'll be surprised how eyes can fool you...

"Flying devices"

"There's more above than you can imagine..." someone said one day. Erm,... I'm not sure someone did, but it's true. Beside the well-known flying 'objects' we frequently see in our real world, there's a lot more flying in the imagination of writers and artists. In this room of the Gallery, we'll collect some samples of flying devices encountered in comics released on this site. Tap the comic's title beneath the image, to go to the release post.

They threaten, they paralyse, they injure, they kill,... beside those we know there's a collection of weapons designed by comic artists beyond imagination! In this room of our gallery we'll keep a sample of weapons used in comics released on this site. Select the picture if you're curious what comics each weapon is extracted from. Use only to look at! ;)
