Proper Install note:
1. Disable any internet connection.
2. Install PowerAMP 2.0.4-build-467.apk (Don't run!)
3. Install PowerAMP Unlocker.apk (Don't run!)
4. Install PowerAmpPatcher.1.4.by.ChelpuS.apk (Run and patch!)
5. Enable internet connection
6. Run PowerAMP 2.0.4-build-467 and Check License Status in Setting (places without notification of license = true license)
7. (Dont clear data of PowerAMP 2.0.4-build-467) Install PowerAMP.2.0.5-build-473.apk
8. Run PowerAMP.2.0.5-build-473 and Check License Status in Setting (places without notification of license = true license)
9. DON'T UNINSTALL PowerAmpPatcher.1.4.by.ChelpuS!!
10. ENJOY! =]

Perfectly worked on my Samsung Gio (2.2 | Stock ROM)

 

After activation, enable internet connection and run the PowerAMP, wait a minute, be patient, play some music, then go to settings, you will see no mo License Check Pending dialog. Delete patch. Enjoy.

Patcher works on rooted Device only or also on Non-rooted device... ?

I can't seem to create a new thread but there is the latest I wanted to share.

Finally full 100% working this elusive player, I never saw the freaking license things anymore. Tested on my 2 devices!

Note that I use the latest version, PowerAMP Music Player v2.0.5 build 477, not 473 mentioned in this thread. My own screenshot on my phone below.



Build 477 Changelog:
- build-477: fixed issue with installation on Android 3.0
- build-477: Polish translation (thanks to Blazej Jezewski)
- HTC Beats/SRS support
- enabled DSP features are now displayed under equalizer curve
- Poweramp now reshuffles list on repeat
- fixed few ICS-related Poweramp issues
- multichannel FLACs
- option to search for album art based on just title/filename
- Korean translation (beta)
- few other bug fixes and stability improvements

Procedure I did:
1. Ensure no poweramp or whatever (unlocker, trial reset, etc) is installed. your device must be poweramp free. uninstall all these if you have, PLEASE USE Titanium Backup to remove them so they can be taken out more cleanly.
2. Disable internet connection.
3. Install PowerAMP.2.0.4-buil.apk. DON'T RUN!!!
4. Install PowerAMPunlocker.apk. DON'T RUN!!!
5. Install PowerAmpPatcher.1.4.by.ChelpuS.apk. Now this you RUN and PATCH! This will ask for root access, grant it. This will modify bytes and enables the player fully.

6. Enable internet and run PowerAMP. This should license the player. If not, reboot your device and rerun PowerAMP. From this point onwards you have a fully licensed working PowerAMP but not the latest. If this did not work, go back to step 1! A proof that the license is fully working is that there is NO MORE DISPLAY of "license check failed". That line should be not there anymore.

7. Finally, get the latest poweramp APK from poweramp site



As of this post I got this link for the latest version.



8. Install the latest version, it will reuse the previous data and license.
9. I did not uninstall anything after this, but I think the patcher can be safely uninstalled.

All this was made possible by ChelpuS, the one who did the crack, he deserves all the credit! That once uncrackable poweramp is for now, history.

Installed on non root samsung galaxy ace with jtdc method.
PowerAmpPatcher.1.4.by.ChelpuS.apk gives error while patching.Just close it.
Then install the latest version.
License check failed but works fine.

sorry bro, but after some days i guess it will ask for license. the method won't fully work due to non root. the powerampPatcher needs root to patch. without root of course it will error.

I used this method on rooted Xperia arc and it worked! Now I have v2.0.5-build-477 Fully working. Thanks!

I can confirm updating cracked 204 build 467 to 205 build 477 by jtdc instructions works. thanks again ChelpuS! but how about future updates? will we be able to just install new official version on top of patched older..or patch the new version?or we will need new patch for new versions?

this definitely worked for me. it's already pointless to try something different then who cracked the app.

Does anybody get a weird buzzing sound coming from the player(making it unusable?) It also won't work until I clear all app data, crack it again, and start it up again. Pretty annoying :/ Galaxy Nexus running 4.0.3 btw.

where I can find this Options?
where I can find Check License Status?

he means settings already.the licence error is written on the top after you tapped to the settings.if there is nothing there so it means you cracked it.
