I'm a complete noob in programing for android ( and in programing in general :) ), but about 2 weeks ago i got basic4android 1.7 ,beginners guide made by klaus, and with a lot of patience i began reading on the b4a forum and making my own software to gather some money to buy the full version of b4a. What i'm trying to say : don't wait for someone to give u version 1.8, use what you've got and try to raise some money to buy it yourselves.

OK. Two small thoughts,Gerge27

1. Yes, make and sell apps using B4A. Except that you need the full version FIRST OFF to do this. And once you make your commercial apps they become freely available on this website!!

2. Yes, you finally make money and buy B4A, and two months later your free updates are over and you have to buy it yet again. And this is why peeps are here on this page, IMHO. Some of the people here have already purchased B4A once and don't wish to keep re-purchasing it.

That's why they want to group together here and buy a serious version. :)

No one is going to make money selling Android apps unless you are into making awesome games - For that you can try Unity 3D. B4A is for just casual non-game apps. I know 'soulwarrrior' has bought 1.8 Enterprise version (with 2 years free update) for $61 8) using plimus discount code, but he hasn't come online. I could ask him a few libs so I can make free apps using Basic4Android1.7
I have already committed for the $8 group buy though

No, you don't have to login. You press where it says " Apasati aici pentru a porni download-ul." It was the first site it popped when i searched google. It's in my country :)

Well I read all 159 posts, and I have to tell you, it's a long read, you'ld be amazed at how many people actualy repeat requests, like as if noone is following this thread, rather then sit down and invest some time reading. So what were the results of my invested time?

1 - I now have version 1.70 completely installed.
2 - I have all the 1.70 libraries including all the specifically requested ones like BAdoclet, etc.
3 - I have more then enough help files, in a format I can every carry around on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus to read at leisure.
4 - I have links to sites with more info including the original site of the software.
5 - I have a 50% off offer code for 1.80. Making it around $61 or so.
6 - I know who in this thread is helpful.

I have no intentions of upgrading to 1.80 just yet, until I have had the time to really take 1.70 for a test drive.

I was able to set up a virtual device on my PC, as well as set up my Nexus as a live device. Everything I have ever wanted. Now I just need a Borg inplant so I can personal download all the B4A help files and data on new libraries. The one thing this thread cannot provide is a speed up in my learning curve. I can't thank all those posters, that help make all the possible, enough. Thank you profusely.

PS: If the ball continues rolling, I would be more then willing to send over $8.30 through PayPal. Please keep my informed.

PSS: If you have anything useful to post, or yer too lazy to read the whole thread..."s**t or get off the pot"...don't post anything at all, the rest of us don't want to read yer waste of cyber space.

Note: Not sure if an admin will read this or not, but at this point, I think the title of this thread is a little misleading. Maybe this thread should be broken up so that the 1.70 stuff is in a new thread.

Hi
I got the BADoclet from one of the forum members who sent it by PM and tried using it following this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aBJ2_sLYbA I was able to develop the jar and xml file but after brining in the files into Basic4Android additional lib directory and using it, I found that I got no output at all. There was no error in compiling but I don't get any out put. Has any one tried the BADoclet and can anyone conform whether it worked for them? I want to use it for serious custom libs but the tut is not working.
Thanks in advance
