Dont download from here for 2 main reasons:

1) Its free - no hosters needed - grab it off Fdroid.org (https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=org.adaway) - Download the Fdroid app on this page first, install it, open it and then search for AdAway on it....and install it that way
2) If you do download from here you will never get the automatic updates you do from the PROPER source on Fdroid

Shame on the uploader for uploading this to hosters....its dishonest and the wrong way to install this app

I just checked the version numbers on f-droid are the same, but not the build date.
latest version on f-droid is 2.9.2 but posted 10/14/2014

could OP provide a source for this build?

Posting vanilla apks, that are available at GP, Xposed, developers site, etc is not uncommon. Apparently it is not against the rules. Look at it as a necessary evil - small price to pay for all the great apps posted here .

This is how I know when to update some of my apps. I see them on the list and click topics looking for changelogs.

Because of this community I don't need F-Droid. (One less system hog to deal with).

Any new and relevant apps I can always find here. And there's nothing "dishonest" about posting free open source app. and a bit hypocritical to even make that statement.

Because of the uploader I don't have to go through a middle man.

Be thankful and respect the uploader.

Cool, thanks for the info on source :) i appreciate it,
I'm all for getting apps here, over other places when possible, i just sometimes get suspicious when I have different sources showing different versions

Thanks OP it's appreciated
