Adguard provides you with a reliable and manageable protection that immediately and without your participation filters the loading web pages. Adguard removes all the annoying ads, blocks loading of dangerous websites, and will not allow anyone to track your activities on the Internet.
When processing a web page, Adguard does several things at once:
1. Removes ads and online tracking code directly from the page.
2. Checks a page against our database of phishing and malicious sites.
3. Checks apps downloaded from unknown sources.

Adguard for Windows users are familiar with this option already. Extended Validation SSL certificates grant that the owner of the certificate has gone through a very strict process of verification. The trust for such certificate owners is much higher - those are usually banks, other financial organizations etc. Often times there are zero or close to zero ads on their websites, and filtering them is excessive anyway - it only increases the chance to break something useful.

[Changed] VPN autopause is now disabled by default for new Android devices (Pixel, Nexus with Nougat) #1000

From the beginning, the VPN autopause functionality was not 'a feature'. It is a workaround for some known Android issues and bugs. For example, tethering could not work along with a VPN, or Adguard's network access could be denied in power saving mode.

It seems that all these issues are sorted out in the newest Android devices, so we have disabled autopause functionality for them. You can turn it back ON in Adguard's low-level settings if needed.

Initially, there was just a bug that prevented Adguard from filtering ads in Moscow subway Wi-Fi network. Turned out that wi-fi.ru is located inside of a LAN, which we exclude by default. Rather than making an exception for this particular network, we decided to choose a more broad approach and create a new preference.

Depending on the firmware, Android might be very aggressive to background services, killing them really frequently. In Adguard case this aggressive behavior may be truly destructive. This feature starts a special 'watchdog' service, which keeps Adguard's main process alive. However, it is disabled by default as most of the Android devices do not suffer from the 'random process killing' issue.

simple question, if I install this, I install a VPN. When I uninstall it, will the VPN be removed, or will my phone be unusable because the VPN is still "on" ?

If you uninstall this app you uninstall the VPN part as will but why would you want to do that anyway..

noting to do with malware thats just your virus checker saying that.
This app is a 100% clean I have been useing it long time now and wouldn't be with out it now stops all the adds to, will I have had none from the day I started using it..
and I do run a lot of Tv/Movies apps from this website to.
and I don't run any virus checker now as I had to many Prob with them and you don't need one any way this app has a VPN built in to it so that Help to.

All Balatan uploads are clean as will.

How do you know that these are false positives?
Did you actually analyze the package yourself, to verify it doesn't contain malware?
Just because it does what it's supposed to do, doesn't mean it couldn't also carry some malware payload (which might only kick in at specific times, or just harvests your info without affecting the functionality of the app itself).

As I said I have been using it for a long time now and use to run a virus checker as will and the virus checker said it was OK to so I just keep using it with no Problems. But anyway if you want any more info about it then don't use it. but you will be missing out on a good app that's for real..
