Yea, for some reason my phone rejects these newer versions even after a complete wipe/uninstall of priors. The OP's modded .9609 release is the only one that will show the DL arrow/options AND actually DL.

Do you suggest any stable version that works as expected, but avoiding "Discoveries" tab, as well as other (un)related stuff that appears while watching a video, for example, from Youtube? Also, was there a version where was possible to Subscribe to a Youtube channel? Ican't subscribe to any... seems to be that is hidden.

Or, in other hand, Do you have any alternative with a clean look and efficient features, avoiding ads an unnnecessary content?

Alternative of Snaptube is New Pipe, get it from Fdroid.
But it can only fetch from YouTube.

TubeMate came with ads by default (no premium version).

The first thing I noticed, besides the new icon, is how slow it is. The download process hangs on at 0kb/s for more than just a sec.
The vids are loading real slow, too, even the shortest ones.
Also, I got "Snaptube is overloaded at the moment. Try"... 3 times already. I mean, wtf? I am a VIP member!
I will go back to the "red icon" version as this has Google ads and what not.
