hi all. dont know if i am allowed to ask for help here. if not, please move to correct place please.

anyway, have been using mx player neon and have uninstalled the various versions first so as to be able to update to latest one. i was using v1.7.26 and wanted to update to latest. as 1.7.28 was the last patched one, i tried to do so. removed v26, tried to install v28 and my Hisense tablet kept telling me that there were no codecs installed and i needed to log in to download them. every time it wanted the tegra 3 codecs. i tried downloading from all the links and other versions as well. all with same effect. ended up using latest patched proper v26 as no other one will install correctly, as far as i can see. what am i doing wrong or what is going wrong?

really could do with some help, please guys as it looks like i cant use the latest versions for some reason
