Shooting Star Love (Wishing Well: Hometown Heart #2) by Melanie Shawn
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 680 kB
Overview: Kane Kingston was unofficially Wishing Well’s Most Eligible Bachelor, whether he liked it or not. The single dad was a hot-with-capital-H commodity in the small town. The pro column of his attributes read like a laundry list of sexy qualities that made him catnip for all the single ladies.

Not afraid of commitment. Check. He was ready to put a ring on it.

Man in uniform. Check. He was one of Wishing Well’s finest, sworn to protect and serve.

Family orientated. Check. His four-year-old daughter had him wrapped around her little finger.

Height. Check. He stood 6’4” with an athletic frame and tattooed arms.

Honest. Hardworking. Loyal. Check. Check. Check.

There was only one teeny, tiny item in the con category. He didn’t date—not casually, anyway. He knew exactly what he was looking for and refused to compromise or settle in his pursuit of Mrs. Right. He just never expected to find her in the form of his best friend’s little sister. Ruby Rhodes was the one person who was off-limits, and the one person he was ready to bend, even break, all his rules for.

Timeline 10/27/62 Countdown to War 01 The Autumn of Empire: October 1961 by James Philip
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 0.7mb
Overview: Welcome to the Timeline 10/27/62 prequel series COUNTDOWN TO WAR starting in October 1961 and concluding when the world goes mad during the last weekend in October 1962.
First, a tiny apology to anyone who is unfamiliar with my Timeline 10/27/63 books in which the Cold War turned disastrously HOT over Cuba and the swinging sixties did not happen.
END OF EMPIRE is the first of thirteen books in this series which will be released between 27th October 2023 and 27th October 2024.
It has always been my contention that good ‘alternative history’ must have a starting point and a robust context rooted in actual events to be believable. In other words, the new timeline must not simply appear out of thin air, abracadabra, at the waving of some magical literary-fantastical wand.
So, when I write alternative history the hardest part is figuring out what was different about this timeline from the one we have observed in our own reality, universe, whatever?
So, this is COUNTDOWN TO WAR, my alternative history of what happened in the year before the Cuban Missiles Crisis went horribly wrong, in effect, the story readers do not usually get to read told month by month.
In that sense, this series should be treated as a direct prequel to the events in OPERATION ANADYR, and Book 1 of the USA Series AFTERMATH.

Healing Wisdom from the Afterlife: How to Communicate with the Spirit World by Alexandra Leclere
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 1 mb
Overview: Sharing insights from her more than two decades of experience as a practicing medium and energy healer, Alexandra Leclere presents wisdom from the spirit world on the cycles of death, life after death, and rebirth and reveals how communicating with spirits can help you navigate daily life and support your Soul’s purpose. She explains how the Soul undergoes an Incarnation Planning Time before incarnating in a physical body, agreeing to the karmic responsibility of certain major events and key moments. Once incarnated, the Soul’s communication with the physical body is often clouded by current life events, pain from past-life experiences, and the Chatter Mind, which introduces anxiety and negative thoughts of past failures—all of which make it difficult to follow the Soul’s divine plan for this incarnation.

Presenting spiritual journey work techniques, Leclere reveals how to clear the negative traumas and memories that are holding you back from happiness and the purpose that compelled your Soul to reincarnate. She explains how to communicate with the spirits of the departed to learn what is predestined for your Soul, what is freely chosen, and how to stay on target with your Soul’s purpose. She shows how to make contact with your birth spirit guide, who can offer unconditional love and support to help you overcome life’s challenges. She explains how to work with spirits to break unhealthy habits and addictions, process grief, heal physical and emotional trauma, and aid the Souls of departed loved ones as they transition into the beyond. The author also describes the Life Review process that happens after we die, a part of the preparation for our next life and a part of our Soul’s ongoing process of self-development.

Through this practical guide to working with the spirit world, you will learn to communicate with those who have passed on and discover ways to make the often-chaotic experience of life clearer and more fulfilling.

Southeast Asia: An Introductory History, 14th Edition by Milton Osborne
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 3 mb
Overview: A lively and easy-to-read guide to Southeast Asian history written by one of the world's preeminent historians of the area.

Southeast Asia: An introductory history was first published in 1979 and immediately filled a need for travelers and students interested in one of the most dynamic and diverse regions of the world. Now in its fourteenth edition, it remains the classic overview for newcomers and locals alike.

Dr Milton Osborne has been a resident and fascinated observer of Southeast Asia for decades, and he brings this personal familiarity to his account. He opens with the early history, including the famous Angkor empire and the great traders of Srivijaya. He then concentrates on the changes that have taken place since the 18th century: the impact of colonial rule, the economic transformations of the following two centuries, the emergence and triumph of the independence movements, the rise of the middle classes, and the pivotal roles played by religion, ethnic minorities and immigrant groups. He shows how each country has addressed major economic crises and terrorism, and maps the shifting forms of government.
