Thanks for the update. I initially thought that I downloaded a malware that was doing it to all my browsers.

I thought my computer had gotten infected with a redirect virus and spent a lot of time trying to figure it out to no avail.

It'd be nice when these sorts of problems arise if an admin could post to the Mobilism Facebook or Twitter account that the site was experiencing issues - nothing detailed, just a heads-up. I checked both places and when I saw no mention of any current problems, it seemed all the more confirmation that the problem was on my end.

I'm glad to be back! Thank you.

I do not refresh dead Request links. Post another request in the Request Forum
I happily refresh my Release links. PM me from the PM button at the bottom of this page and include a link with your request.

Phew. Thank goodness all is well. I think I was online just as the attack happened because I was happily navigating between pages when suddenly it started redirecting.

Like others I thought it was my computer and spent several hours malware-busting :)

Thanks for all your hard work in keeping this special place going

Many of the download sites have redirect links embedded. I'd list them, but there are several. Uploaders probably should check and see their favorite sites are cleaning out the hackers...

That's exactly what I thought too.

I went through the same process.

Then I went down to the local library and just entered our url and it happened there as well.

Perhaps as PollyannaRoe suggested a little note on either Facebook or Twitter would let members know what's going on.

Anyway glad you got it all sorted.

Well done to all those that contributed to the fix. :D

cheers

At first I thought it was a Firefox redirect virus because I've had them in the past. I checked the website "Is It Down Right Now" and I entered Mobilism's url and it said that the website is perfectly fine. Little did I realize that they were being redirected as well lol. Well after 2 malwarebyte scans including rootkits on my system (pc was clean) I gave up. Frustrated I gave it another go with Chrome and even my iPad but no go. Until I tried my other bookmarks and realized DUH! that they all worked properly. That's when I realized that mobilism was hacked and not Firefox. Glad you guys and gals are back.
