There are 4 steps, but you will need to click the buttons below at least 2/3 times each. Each time you will get a pop-up that you must close no matter what it says, EVEN IF IT CLAIMS TO BE A VIRUS ALERT FROM WINDOWS.

Keep closing tabs and going back to the button and eventually you will get the file. But if there is a working mirror in the post, go for it!

Attention! Whenever you see a big and alluring "Download" button followed by an insignificant "Create download link" or "Direct download link", always go for the insignificant and ignore the bright and shiny "Download" buttons.

Don't forget to install an ad blocker:
For Firefox: uBlock Origin or AdBlock Plus or AdGuard Plus
For Chrome: uBlock Origin or AdGuard Plus
For Safari: uBlock Origin

Warning! Even with ad blockers installed, you may still need to click on the correct buttons 2 or 3 times and close the pop-ups and redirects before the download begins. Some filehosts bypass AdBlockers completely, in some cases you may even need to disable them in order to download. If after disabling your adblocker you come across an ad page that seems impossible to close, press and hold down the 'Esc' key for a few seconds.

Alternatively, you can use Mobilism's Downloader. If a link has a blue arrow next to it, Mobilism can fetch the file from the filehost, after which you can download it directly. For more info, see Here.

UPDATE (March 19, 2019): Over the last few weeks there have been multiple cases of perfectly safe and clean files being blocked by Chrome with the warning "This file may be dangerous, so Chrome has blocked it." This happens when the "Safe browsing" option is enabled. If you no longer want to see the warning, you can disable the 'safe' browsing option in Settings, Advanced: (See here). Even though the files are always safe and clean, you can still use VirusTotal to have them scanned for extra security. In the exceptional case that an infected file is detected, please report it to moderators.

UPDATE (March 19, 2020): During the past year, 100% of the files reported and tested proved to be false positives.

Note: you are currently reading the information thread, if you'd like to follow or join the discussions on this issue please visit the Social Club's topic: .exe or Virus warning after downloading an app, ebook etc. We will keep images updated with the new methods used by filehosts as soon as changes happen.

Yeah, this modification is very annoying. We got a lot of PMs from people telling us the uploaders uploaded malware/trojans instead of (in our case) ebooks.

Good news that somebody on these here interwebz has eyes. I almost smashed my laptop with a hammer when I got that malware warning.

(In my defence it was late and I felt it was the best course of action. And yes, later I did think of simply unplugging the LAN cable.)

Malware usually is not dangerous, but it is annoying. This special malware will change your browser settings and display several popups. If you already got infected use an anti malware program like http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

Thanks :) Malwarebytes found that bad file & removed it. I'm embarrassed to admit I never looked as far as the bottom of the page...What I did was install Better Pop Up Blocker & it stopped those annoying pop ups. Do I still need to de-select their downloader or am I safe?
Mar 13th, 2013, 2:56 am

When asking for re-ups, please state which download links are dead. Also which sharing site such as
Zippyshare, Userscloud, ect.
Mar 13th, 2013, 3:02 am
Continue to make sure the box isn't checked is always the best practice and also run Anti-Malware and Anti-Virus software on a weekly basis regardless of this being an issue or not.
Mar 13th, 2013, 3:02 am

Check ALL links before sending me a ReUPLOAD request.

Does this change seem to affect premium users? I find that it now takes longer for the download to start and download speed is alot slower.

Premium users of the Mobilism Downloader? The speed issue might be a side effect of it trying to install somewhere it can't, yes.

Side note: If you download from rapidgator using a mobile device (iPad, iPhone, Android), you won't have this issue regarding their downloader trying to download first.
