I just figured that out while downloading an ebook. I wish I would have seen this sooner, it would have saved me time in trying to figure a way to download without having to download their program. :D Thanks for posting it up!

no check box, but second go at it downloaded an mp4 vs an exe file, still slow 22min vs a 2min HG download, and plenty of interesting pop-ups through the RG :P

Thanks for the warning. But Rapidgator is not the only one sending the exe's :(. After a very nice uploader made me aware of this practice of sending exes and steered me to this thread, the frequent clanging of my AV made sense and I will in the future read the hoster pages much more attentively.

Maybe instead of a generic post about Rapidgator (which many readers may not notice or care about), there should be a pinned notice - as long as this forum permits uploading to sites that force malware on users - warning about downloading .exe files. Yeah, I know, shame on me for being bamboozled, but still.....

I do not refresh dead Request links. Post another request in the Request Forum
I happily refresh my Release links. PM me from the PM button at the bottom of this page and include a link with your request.

Why do the epub files on hugefiles.net now end in .rar.exe? when they used to end in .rar?

Uncheck the box under the "create download link". It's labeled "Download using download accelerator".
