Existing TRAINZ Version 1.0 users please note:
We've had some reports of problems driving routes after upgrading to v1.1. We're investigating this, but the current consensus is that removing the app and reinstalling using the App Store will permanently resolve this issue. If you have an existing custom route that you'd like to keep, please consider using the new Extra Content menu to upload the route to our servers prior to removing the app from your iPad.

it's amazing what you can do. I created this mountain layout entirely from scratch. I shaped every mountain, placed every tree, laid every track, and painted every texture. This is just scratching the surface of the library of objects you can choose from. None of it is cookie-cutter. It's all user-controlled. Heck, even if you aren't into trains, if you like creating cities or nature scenes or whatever, you can get totally engrossed in this app.

I was so surprised at the level of detail in this game. Very responsive, lots of options, great map creator and overall nice way to show what the iPad can do.

The rest of my family (wife and two teenagers) have never seen Trainz before, and they were blown away. My wife spent 45 minutes driving round (and crashing, decoupling and running through red lights) with absolute delight.

* New visual effects including fog, lighting, and water.
* New environmental controls in Surveyor.
* New touch-based control scheme, allowing you to interact directly with the simulated world rather than navigating with the thumb sticks.
* Support for Planet Auran accounts.
* The ability to upload your own routes and sessions to the Download Station, and to download other users' routes and sessions from the Download Station.
* Lots of other fixes and improvements!
