Last time paid vpn that could bypass was witopia. Nowadays not sure. Also I don't trust witopia their servers are in Virginia home of CIA. Lol

Suggest you ask more popular places for advise like reddit or etc.

Ahh, I'm a student living in China. The VPN I use and would recommend would be Astrill, I currently have a 1 year subscription and it's been very good.
Besides Astrill, I have some friends using ExpressVPN, who have said it's decent.

I am using NordVPN as they do NOT keep user logs, their prices are reasonable, they have a ton of servers and so surfing is a lot faster than one would think.

It's cat & mouse game (in China) . Whatever is good today might not be good tomorrow.
The most reliable VPN that worked for me when I was in China was "Bolehvpn" based in Malaysia. No logs, no DNS leaks. Frequently updated servers.
I have some accounts on social sites that I opened while in China and now being back in the US I'm unable to login unless I use VPN and I still do use bolehvpn.
BTW they do have servers in Hong Kong.
