Hi, apologies if I am asking a dumb question but I need to understand this in order to use the forum in best possible way.

I am asking for an explanation of the difference between MOD version and the normal version of release of the apps.

It usually states what the "MOD" is in the description.

MOD is modified version of the apps. If you read the post, all of them will have an explanation near the end of the post about what have been modified. For example ads removed, dark theme, lite version, infinite money/lives/gem (game), etc.

Thank you both. Does that mean MoD is modified but other versions are not! I have been reading some descriptions where normal versions claiming that no ads where original apps on the app stores have got ads and that is what confused me.

Not necessarily, just modded versions may have more significant changes, such as fixes for certain devices, unlimited currency or unlocked modes in games, etc. Releasers almost always state near the Download Instructions what the modifications entail.

MOD versions may contain unlocked features and additional in game currency. Which are usually earned or obtained when playing the game.
