My favorite show is SUITS. I can relate and it absolutely resonate with a lot of what goes on in that series since I’m also studying law. My favorite character is Harvey Specter. Even though he is a fictional character too good to be true I admire his philosophy on life. He believes in setting goals and absolutely crushing them and will obliterate anyone who stands between him and his goals. I also admire his sense of loyalty which made his subordinates(Dona and Mike ) to be loyal to him as well. After all that I like his taste in music. Throughout several seasons of the show Harvey is seen listening to classic tunes by Charles Bradley(and I’m a Bradley fan myself). I could go on about why I love the series and how it inspires me to carpe diem

The Arndt-Eistert Synthesis allows the formation of homologated carboxylic acids or their derivatives by reaction of the activated carboxylic acids with diazomethane and subsequent Wolff-Rearrangement of the intermediate diazoketones in the presence of nucleophiles such as water, alcohols, or amines.
Mechanism of the Arndt-Eistert Synthesis
In the first step of this one-carbon homologation, the diazomethane carbon is acylated by an acid chloride or mixed anhydride, to give an α-diazoketone. The excess diazomethane can be destroyed by addition of small amounts of acetic acid or vigorous stirring. Most α-diazoketones are stable and can be isolated and purified by column chromatography (see recent literature for specific methods).

Favourite book: Intelligent Investor
The book was written by Benjamin Graham, the teacher of Warren Buffett. As it was quoted by Buffett as the best investment book ever, I started reading it at 18 when I started to get interested in finance and investment. However, the book is too difficult for me at the time, hence I stopped reading it until 23 yrs old (this year). What a satisfaction when I finished the book! It mainly discussed about the difference between investment and speculation, and the importance of margin of safety when making an investment decision (just like when we build a bridge we ensure the maximum load would be more than what it stated). It completely changed my view on financial market after reading it!

Review of Black Mountain (An Isaiah Coleridge Novel Book 2) by Laird Barron:

This second book in the Isaiah Coleridge series is every bit as strong as the first. When two mob men are brutally despatched, Isaiah is tasked with finding their killer and bringing him to account. Being all too well aware that his own ledger with the mob could tip into a debit balance at any time, Isaiah is hardly in a position to refuse their request.

Teaming up with his buddy and ex marine Lionel, the chase is on. As was the case in Blood Standard, violence is never far from Coleridge and if it doesn’t find him, he’s happy to search for it. The story plays out at a measured pace and there are some supplementary escapades for Isaiah along the way. More than anything else though, it is the beauty of the writing that sets this book apart. Not dissimilar to the style of John Connolly, you can feel yourself just letting the elegant prose carry you away.

Now that Isaiah has set himself up as a legitimate PI with an office to maintain, he’s going to need some cases. Knowing Isaiah, you can bet that they will be hard ones.

Thanks for this.

My favourite books at the moment are all by the English author Christopher Isherwood. What I'm enjoying about reading him is that you can approach events in his life and fiction from multiple angles. So, for instance, you can read Goodbye to Berlin (the novel), then read about the years he spent in Berlin in his Diaries, then read the non-fiction account he provides of his history in a much later book Christopher and His Kind, or in a story/component of another novel, Down There on a Visit, and cumulatively you get an account of events and characters from several angles, and your sense of the time he lived through gathers details and becomes richer and richer as a result. I am particularly enjoying his diary, as I am reading, for the first time ever, a literary diary from another era, and the diarists of the past (Virigina Woolf is another) had a rigour and dedication that feels alien when set against the scattershot present. These diaries span decades, are historical and socio-political documents, and most importantly provide an account of someone who lived a life worth recording: Isherwood was published by the Woolfs, was friends with W.H Auden, lived in Berlin just before the war, travelled to China and South America, lived in California alongside Aldous Huxley, Denny Fouts, and Dodie Smith, socialised with Greta Garbo, was friends with E.M Forster, moved in both literary (Capote, Gore Vidal, Tennessee Williams) and Hollywood (Marilyn Monroe, Joan Crawford) circles, and across his long and varied life describes encounters with everyone from Somerset Maugham to Andy Warhol.

It's nice that you are doing something like this.

My favorite TV series is Leverage. I really liked their characters especially the hacker...age of the geeks baby...

Other than that I am really into the Last of Us 2 have been playing it for a couple of days and it's an engaging storyline.

While I don't have an all-time favorite book, I like vampire stories

Okay, my favorite book is "The Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison. I first heard about this book when I was studying at university and read it when I was 20. It completely blew my mind and introduced me to African American literature. Not only is it a serious book, but it is also neatly structured, with three sections gradually evolving from naturalism/realism to surrealism. It also echoes Dostoyevsky's "Notes from the Underground." I'm surprised that at the moment, taking the circumstances into account, this book doesn't get more attention from the general public. For anyone interested in African American literature, Ralph Ellison's oeuvre is an essential read.

My favorite TV show is definitely Doctor Who :) I don't even really like sci-fi all that much (more of a fantasy kinda gal) but something about that show gets me every time. Maybe because the Doctor is as free as a living being could get, he has literally all of time and space to choose from. Watch the last day of planet Earth? Check! Meet Nicola Tesla? Check! And the possibility to take your home with you everywhere you go is pretty cool too, especially if it's small enough (on the outside) to fit in most rooms so big enough on the inside that I'm not even quite sure how many rooms it has. But there's definitely a swimming pool! :D

Recently, I have been exposed to K-Drama, which I actually dislike for a long time, well, like wiseman ever said, "never said you hate thing too much that you will inevitably like it sometimes.", there this director called Kim Eun Seok, she rarely a good K-Drama scriptwriter, which the filmography i begin to binge watching until unhealthy level lol, there was one times i forgot time as I binge watching her drama, from morning to midnight, Her filmography including Secret Garden (2010), A Gentleman's Dignity (2012), The Heirs (2013), Descendants of the Sun (2016), Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016–2017) or mostly known as Goblin, Mr. Sunshine (2018) and The King: Eternal Monarch (2020). From those array of good drama, if someone want to watch, i do reccoment watching Descendant of the Sun, Goblin, and TKEM (The King: Eternal Monarch), those three have a very good OST to boast . Aside from drama written by Kim Eun Seok, there also one of my favorite underrated drama from 2017, Chicago Typewriter, I also recommend this one, they have two OST played by Boni Pueri, One of most famous Europe's musical ensembles.

Hopefully this qualifies and happy watching if you have interest in K-drama

Very kind of You!

Here my answers:
- What is your favorite movie or TV Show?
I loved Star Trek and Babylon5 a lot once. I had a lot of fun with Dragon Prince lately, which shows that I’m still a kid at heart. I think I get more and more soft-hearted too as I get older :).
- What's your favorite book?
Most books by Brandon Sanderson for example. I often reach for fantasy books, but I like the ones with interesting worlds, at least some characters who are good/kind, and also thoughtful books with more than entertainment value. Though the latter is not absolute necessity.
- How many pets do you have?
Sadly none. I’m very allergic and live in a smallish flat.
- How do you like to spend your free time?
I love to read, especially listening to audiobooks, podcasts and such. I like to learn new things, but lately I’m always too tired from work or general glumness…
- What are your favorite games?
I liked Heroes of Might and Magic, the earlier ones. I played quite some Skyrim too. I seem to have too little patience for them though.

Thanks a lot :)!

Thanks for doing this. One of my favourite TV shows was the remake of Battlestar Galactica. I love how it weaved sci-fi with a deep religious thread and questioned what it was to be human. I loved the themes of the last remnants of humanity trying to escape from a superior enemy and basically searching for salvation by trying to find a lost thirteenth human colony. Plus I loved the idea of the Cylons, man’s destruction coming from the hands of our own creations. Beyond the themes, the show was, cinematically stunning and the space battles were amazing, especially with the silence of the dog fights.

Once again, thanks for doing this mate.

I do appreciate your generosity. Thank you for doing this.

My favorite game series is Final Fantasy (FF). I’ve only played FF 7 (original game in 1997, Crisis Core in PSP), FF 8, FF 10, FF Type-0, FF 13, and FF 15. They’re the games of my childhood. My other favorite game is Assassin’s Creed. I only played a few recently because I’m a medical student with little time for recreation. I love how they write their various characters with different persona, but I’m also sad and baffled that their quality for making a story is becoming poor. I do hope they improve.
I don’t have household pets because I’m allergic but I do love cute animals, especially cats.
