Support for everything about jailbreaking.

In an installed registry editor, navigate to the following key and change these values.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DeviceReg]

[PortalUrlProd"="]

[PortalUrlInt"="]

In other words, just make the values blank. Delete everything inside there EXCEPT for the name of the registry and save.

There are a few users who says that Dell phones don't have write access. I'm not too sure if it's true.

For my case, although it shows "Unavailable Info"(and I can't see anything in that folder), just create a new value with the EXACT SAME NAME and make the set value blank. It overwrites the old values.

Best of luck.

If you've updated to Nodo, then at this time the only way is if you get a dev account. There a couple ways to do so, (read posts above) or if you can rollback your update to before Nodo, unlock & apply the disable relock, then update to Nono.

Otherwise we wait until Mango and the Chevron team is working on an official unlock which will cost roughly $9 per user.

does the chevronwp7 work anymore?
the link http://chevronwp7.com/cert from the app doesn't work, and every time i click unlock it says the "Uh oh" error.
the cert is loaded from db.tt/fFwKQIy correctly (loaded the .cer also from an email) and the key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsPhone \ProxyPorts]
"DeviceReg"=dword:000069c5
is added, what to do?
i downgraded to 7004 and didn't managed to unlock it
any thoughts?
thanks

Did you ensure that Zune was running?

Did you make sure that your phone was at home screen and not locked or in standby mode?

You need to flash back to pre-nodo(7004 or 7008)and jailbreak that first.

Then update to NoDo and apply the provxml unlock method to prepare for mango unlock.

Just so we are clear....

I have an LG C900B. I successfully updated to Mango, but did not jailbreak. Through Zune, I downgraded to 7008 (as instructed here), but was unable to get Chevron to work on my comp. Can I forego Chevron, and simply do this via the registry? Can I do this after I updated to Mango, or does it need to be done before?

This can be done after updating to Mango. If you do it before, updating it will only reset the values back.

Shouldn't be. But I know that you must be on the latest Service Pack on XP for any of the above to work.

That's the first problem. You can't jailbreak mango unless you do it officially through a developer unlock. You have to flash back to Nodo, and 'pass' the unlock to Mango, followed by unlocked. Can you flash back to Nodo with Zune? Or did you buy the device with Mango preinstalled?

Erm you're answering yourself?

From what I know, setting the device to Developer Unlock State = 1 is not enough to jailbreak/unlock mango. You have to stop your phone from re-locking by editing other registry values which can be found above in one of my previous posts.
