On a side note: I'm 46 pages into Stephen King's "The Institute" and won't be going any further. It has to be one of the most awful books he's written so far. None of the characters are engaging and the super genius character of Luke, in particular, is incredibly annoying and, to put it bluntly, badly written.

My Commander by Alanea Alder. It's book #1 in the Bewitched and Bewildered series. Someone in another thread here recommended it so I downloaded the first three books. After reading them I jumped on the remaining eight and devoured them in 3 days. :)
