The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. The SyFy channels attempt at making a show based on this series didn't do it justice at all.

I just finished reading The Orphan's Tale by Pam Jenoff about WWII and it would be an amazing movie.

Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson
Legion of the Damned series by William C. Dietz
Armor by John Steakley (My favorite book; I know this has almost zero chance to become a movie, but my hope never will die!)

I would love to see more alien sci-fi movies- I'm absolutely in love with the Lodestone saga by Mark Whiteway right now, but sometimes a lot of the physical characteristics he describes reminds me of certain things from Avatar. I'd still love to see a unique take on it though. Imo, book-to-screen rarely satisfies me so whatever it is I'll be disappointed, probably.

I’d love to see Fritz Lieber’s Lankhmar novels on the big screen. particularly ‘The Swords of Lankhmar’.
