- Weird Girls series by Cecy Robson <3 (bad-ass book :D)
- Shadow Falls series by C.C. Hunter <3 LOVE
- Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep
- "Becoming Alpha" Alpha Girl series by Aileen Erin

...and much more :P

I completely forgot about David Brin's Uplift series and Keith Laumer's Reteif and Bolo books. Ah, who can forget (I, ah, er, did apparently) the Lensman series by E. E. "Doc" Smith and Jack Williamson's Legion of Space, Humanoids, and Seetee books.

Hard to pick a favourite. I think most of my potential favourites are already listed. A series that I enjoyed but didn't notice listed above would be The Millennium Series (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) by Stieg Larsson.
