The Microsoft .NET Compact Framework (.NET CF) is a version of the .NET Framework that is designed to run on Windows CE based mobile/embedded devices such as PDAs, mobile phones, factory controllers, set-top boxes, etc. The .NET Compact Framework uses some of the same class libraries as the full .NET Framework and also a few libraries designed specifically for mobile devices such as Windows CE InputPanel.

The versions of the .NET Compact Framework installed on a Windows Mobile device can be determined by launching \Windows\cgacutil.exe and comparing the displayed list of version numbers to the table above. More than one version can be installed on a device simutaneously.

I have v 3.5 loaded on my HTC TyTn II - I know that because I ran cgautil.exe as Bendy said - but when I try to run keygens I get a NETCF Initialization Error. I've tried running the keygen from my external storage card and from the root directory of the device itself, but I get the same message.

Are you sure the keygen is a WindowsMobile and not a Win32 application?

as already mentioned in this article, most keygens need .NET Framework (not .NET Compact Framework) to run on your pc. if you already have the latest .NET Framework installed on your system, give us the exact error message, so we may be able to help you further.

run it on your pc. it is asking for compact framework because that is the only framework on ppc. do not run the keygen on your ppc as it will not work
