The discovery of a long-lost transmission alerts Habraum Nwosu of a covert Star Brigade mission to infiltrate the Children of Earth. Addison Raichoudry, the operative in play, went undercover over a year ago. Her assignment was supposed to last three months.
And Raichoudry’s handler, the only Brigadier aware of the operation, was killed in action long ago.
Nwosu sends an extraction team to Seredonia, the Union world where Raichoudry was last seen.
The Brigade is successful in tracking down their fellow Brigadier. But Raichoudry’s cold-blooded actions to escape capture reveal an operative consumed by the Children of Earth’s xenophobic doctrine. Is she just playing her role or has Addison Raichoudry turned traitor?
