13. The Talion Code
When a series of random incidents across the world starts to impact closer to home, one of Craig’s team is given a life and death puzzle to solve. Meanwhile, enmities surface over an old case just as the murder squad is called to a new scene, and with no weapon, witnesses or victim I.D. the pressure really begins to build.

As a personal tragedy strikes that threatens Craig’s self-control and he and Liam battle one of their most formidable opponents yet, the race is on to capture the killer in time to prevent another death.

14. The Tribes
When a farmer dies in an apparent accident, pathologist John Winter feels uneasy and asks Craig to take a look. Meanwhile, D.C.I. Liam Cullen is called to a drowning where the victim is the head of a criminal gang.

As the police in the Republic of Ireland become involved and one of Craig’s team finds himself implicated in a girl’s murder, the Murder Squad has only days to prevent a gang war, leading to one its newest team members risking their life.

15. The Pact
When a police officer shoots a woman dead at a Belfast airport, the reasons behind it are more complex than they first seem and the Murder Squad is called. Craig’s team discover coercion, betrayal and international alliances that point them towards the darkest threat Northern Ireland has ever faced.

16. The Cabal
When Chief Constable Sean Flanagan tasks Belfast’s Murder Squad with investigating a sex-worker’s kidnapping, Craig suspects that he has something to hide. But when a senior politician and an ex-soldier are killed a few hours later and Craig discovers the three cases are linked, the team finds itself drawn into an international plot.

The intrigue extends from Whitehall to Germany, and touches criminal organisations and governments alike, leading to death and destruction across the UK and an outcome that will affect the whole of Europe.

17. The Killing Year
When a man and woman are found murdered near one of Northern Ireland’s beauty spots, in a way that’s similar to victims discovered over the previous year, the Belfast Murder Squad is called in. What Craig’s team uncovers leads them to a decades old happening, a centuries old method of killing, and a killer more disturbed than any that they’ve met before.

20. Crossing The Line
When a prisoner at a high security prison dies inexplicably, the Belfast Murder Squad is called in to make sense of the death. But none of the detectives could possibly have anticipated where their investigation would lead. Smuggling, gang warfare and new drugs results in more killings, a ship being raided and a siege, before a final showdown that sees Craig and his team risking everything to save innocent men.

21. The Depths
When the Belfast Murder Squad is asked to investigate a suspicious death in Tyrone, an old photograph found in their victim’s pocket sets them on an unexpected trail.

What the detectives find leads them to Dublin and a violent confrontation, while the team’s analysts uncover an international enterprise so sinister that everyone finds it hard to take in.

Meanwhile, the squad’s detective inspector is awaiting the outcome of an Ombudsman’s investigation that isn’t looking positive, one of the lab’s staff ends up locked in a cell, and Craig gets a personal shock.

25. The Farm
When a routine site inspection by Doctor John Winter becomes an encounter with something seemingly from the distant past, something that the pathologist can't explain, he calls his friend D.C.S. Marc Craig for a second opinion.

What they uncover leads the Belfast Murder Squad to one of its most puzzling cases ever, worrying Craig that it will never be solved.

Links with sex clubs, academia, and ancient religions eventually set the detectives on a trail that they hadn't expected, but a late discovery threatens to derail them yet again and leads to a car and boat chase that almost sees Craig lose his life.
