Trapped inside of Harrington Labs and cut off from the outside world, Jacob and Ally try to find a way out. Their captor's only demand is to hand over the owner of the lab before they release deadly gases into different areas of the building, killing the employees. Jacob and Ally realise they may only have hours left to live if they choose to keep Malcolm Harrington alive.
DCI Barnes and the team, unable to assist their colleagues, remain at the CID where a situation escalated, resulting in an evacuation of the station.
Meanwhile, Jacob's younger sister, Kate, finds herself in danger. She and her friends attend a house party which results in Kate's kidnap. The three friends find themselves in peril and unable to get help.
