Ciao a tutti!
I need a (good!) dark fantasy novel to complete one of my reading challenges (I also need a book about music, but this will be another topic ;) ).

Premise: I like Joe Abercrombie very much, but not his copycats, like Mark Lawrence; mere exploitation of cruelty annoys and bores me both, if there isn't something more to chew. ^^

This said, I'm open to any suggestion. ^^

How about
The Flame and the Arrow by Emigh Cannaday
and the rest of the Annika Brisby series of course.

Don't know how dark do you want to go but this have all kinds of it.
Don't want to spoil the fun so no spoilers, though. :)

Beyond Redemption by Michael R Fletcher is veeeeeery dark. If you like this one, read the sequel too, it's called: ''The Mirrors Truth''.
