Hey all!

I love the Sigma Force novels and the Indiana Jones movies, I love the mix of history, science, religion, exploration and fantasy they combine. The hidden caves filled with ancient treasures and secrets, the conspiracies that could alter governments, all that jazz. The problem is it's hard finding new series like that to get into that don't devolve into the main character being perfect at everything and just bland AF.

Any suggests on stand alone books or series would be greatly appreciated.

hi
I love Rollins sigma force books too.
In the same vein I recommend Andy Mcdermott and David Leadbeater .. both authors have quite a few books. Also if you really like extra science stuff aswell I highly recommend Michael Cordys books :)

I just posted a thread like this. I agree with DoeO about the importance of characters, l wanted to read something by Clive Cussler but bailed out when the first female was one of those [not only dual doctorate but also stunningly beautiful and eloquent at 26 years old] specimens.

Look for books of Andy McDermott, Chris Kuzneski, Scott Mariani, Sean Ellis and David Wood
Indeed Boyd Morrisson, Matthew Reilly and Jerremy Robinson are also on my favorite writer list.

Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child fit the bill. Funny enough, I found their solo books to be more in the James Rollins vain that their Pendergast books (all worth reading though). Cussler is good but gets really samey. Ted Bell has some fun adventure stories similar to Rollins. Urban Fantasy, Larry Correia's Monster Hunter series is a lot of fun as is the Joe Ledger series by Jonathan Maberry
