I read a lot of everything but my favourite is CSI type/crime/detective novels.

When I was a teen, I read every horror book going. King, Saul, Crichton...I had them all.

Lets see, (I am listing it according to my love for particular genre) , first will be sci fi, after that comes fantasy ( paranormals like #hidden legacy, #innkeeper series,# katie Daniels series, etc. And regular fantasy too lik Kristen ashle's #dream man series, #rock chick series etc)
Then comes litRPG, which I just discovered & loved it.
I do read historical romances, anime ,thriller but for all the books I read my requirement is story should develop at high pace. Characters should be witty, sarcastic, sassy. ( quirky is allowed too) And the story should be interesting to me. A bit of romance thrown in is always welcomed, though not a necessity. If I loose my interest after First 15-20 pages, I will drop the book even if its from my fav genre or fav writer. 8)

SF/fantasy first. (I see them as a spectrum, and subsets of Fantastic Fiction. There are an assortment of books where I think the answer to "Is this SF or Fantasy? is "Yes.".) Mysteries second, with a penchant for offbeat police procedural, like the William Marshall (set in Hong Kong) and James McClure .(set in South Africa) series. Mystery and techno thrillers are actually neck and neck for second place (and techno thrillers scratch some of the same itches as SF.) I also read experimental fiction, classic literature, and magic realism.

I go through phases of reading different genres (at the moment it's biographies, etc. about Monty Python and rereading Isaac Asimov's Foundation novels).

Romance, paranormal romance, humorous fiction, some sci-fi and fantasy and a couple of mystery authors. From time to time I dip my toes into other genres but keep coming back to these.

I've found myself enjoying Cozy Mysteries in the past few years, especially series. Also Military SF ala John Ringo, Larry Correia, David Weber, etc. Dang! I'll read anything! :D
