Don't use Spotify connect to connect to your Google Home - just use your Devices Casting icon and connect that way - then you won't get ads.
Google Home has it's own Spotify files that it uses - obviously these are not patched (you'd need to access your google home firmware and patch that), that's why you get ads. If you don't believe me - start Spotify and connect to your google home via Spotify connect and start a playlist - then turn your phone off and your Google home will still play that playlist, That's because the phone app is not being used at this point and your Google home is running it's own Spotify software.
You can also connect to Google Home via Bluetooth - and you won't get ads using that either.
