I recommend that you download the version that I posted in the comment above, it's a mega link direct from the dev MrDude. The file must have an .apk extension, sometimes download sites open popups and download junk files, it's recommended delete that .bin file.

I have the same dilemma, between 2 accounts and store and mod versions I have 3 different home styles and 2 different lists styles.
(older and newer is about the accounts, one is many years older)

It's possible that Spotify is trying to implement changes in its UI, yesterday it happened that, on the artists page the main image didn't load and the page looked "duplicated", it happened with any artist and on three different devices, until in differents mod versions. Today everything went back to normal, so I thought they are either trying something or it was a Spotify server error. The same should happen with the greetings function, because for example, until a few days ago that function appeared in Spanish (my native language) and today (after the error I already mentioned) the greeting in the app appears in English and everything else in Spanish.

I wish I knew that that the artist page problem wasn't only on me. I looked here and on Spotify site and Twitter and no one said anything, so I tried and tried to find what was wrong.
It's back to normal now.
I saw mentioned that on some they changed the queue button with share on now playing page and people are outraged.
On desktop they removed the option to add your music and some other stupid changes, and they tried an app that is just a web wrap.

I don't know if they are "necessary" but in the latests mod versions (8.5.68 and 69) all the shuffle mode bugs have been fixed, Canvas, Storyline and the new lyrics feature (by musixmatch) are unlocked and available (if you are in one of 26 countries which this last function is available at the moment). The app works very well, fluid, doesn't have unexpected forced closings, doesn't crash. There are no longer any login problems either. Anyway, I think they are quite stable to switch to one of these versions, at least for me.

Usually Balatan does some extra touches on the app, I think.. "Disabled / Removed unwanted Permissions + Receivers and Services; Analytics / Crashlytics disabled." uses to be from him, can you confirm? This is why we should wait for him to release and not just post to "be the author of the post"...

Restart the app and whitelist your app from any junk cleaner or anything that effects Spotify cache, then it will not happen again
