Overview: Phenomenon the Poet (1984-) is an international spoken word artist, 18x poetry slam champion and author emerging from Chicago, Illinois. After writing her first novel at 19 years old entitled "Lesbian Chronicles: The Black Life" in 2004, she attended East-West University. Accepting her anointing to write while on sabbatical in New South Wales, Australia, she has now honed the niche markets for creating novels catered to African American, LGBTQ & Christian readers. Phenomenon is a columnist for Our Village Magazine as well as a Windy City Times 30 under 30 Award recipient. She currently works as a professor specializing in spoken word poetry and speech.
