Pot of coins.
One of the 'Kermis' games.

Image

While I was enjoying the kermis, I was some people gathered around a pot. The pot was filled with coins, and there was much animation. A man was collecting money, and after a while, they became quiet. I was curious, and watched it closely. I saw the pot was filled with coins. After a while, the people around the pot were invited one after the other to say a number. Every time someone said a number, the man said 'no, sorry' then the next said a number. Again, the man shook his head: 'no, sorry'. When everyone had said a number, the man lifted the pot, and grabbed a piece of paper that had been lying beneath. He unfolded it, and showed it to everyone. While I could read it, the man said: 2154! After they all checked the paper, everyone left, somewhat grumbling, leaving the man alone with his pot. He saw I was interested: 'Hey, aren't you that contest guy?' I said: yes and no, I have people now running those for me, leaving me time for something much better: Icon games! More challenging and interesting; I'm my own Boss now, meaning I can unleash my creativity and have the liberty to make games without having to justify to anyone, in a friendly and loving community... (I'm sure everyone noticed my big smile :)). What are you playing? Then the man explained people had to guess how many coins are in the pot, and if someone got it right, he could take the pot home. 'Why don't you make a game about that? Your angels will love it!' Hmm... What a d** good idea! I will do it. Thanks! And off I went...

So, let's play a game, shall we?

I have a pot of coins. Please guess how many coins are in my pot.

Winners are those two first posting players whose sum of their two guesses is closest to the number of coins in the pot.

Example: say, the the pot contains 75 coins
Player A guesses: 25 coins
Player B guesses: 28 coins
Player C guesses: 45 coins
Player D guesses: 55 coins

Then players B and C are the winners, because the sum of their guesses (73) is closest to 75.

The winners will both receive two Claw machine coins Image

:!: At the end of the game, when the number of coins that are inside the pot is revealed, a volunteer will be asked to calculate who are the winners, and also receive a coin.

For now, please simply post your guess about the number of coins in the pot.
Please no duplicate numbers.
Remember: it's the sum of your guess and someone else's guess that should be most close to win.

In this round, the pot contains between 200 and 600 coins.

Good luck! Enjoy the Icon games, this Guy loves you!

Pot of coins - volunteer request
One of the 'Kermis' games.

:!: At the end of the game, when the number of coins that are inside the pot is revealed, a volunteer will be asked to calculate who are the winners, and also receive a coin.

There are 386 coins in the pot.

Please post here that you volunteer 'I volunteer!', and I will then allow you to announce the winners.
Remember: winners are those two first posting players whose sum of their two guesses is closest to the number of coins in the pot.
If after a few minutes it becomes obvious that you are the first one who volunteered, you may go ahead posting the winners.

Thank you for playing. Enjoy the Icon games, this Guy loves you!
