Maybe there should be a way to flag a release that has old/broken links, possibly sending it to its own subcatagory, so that everyone can see them/provide a new upload if they have the program. If nobody re-uploads in X amount of days the post is deleted. Reuploads come with a possible wrz$ reward. This will keep links from expiring on programs already uploaded. Ive been finding that when i look for a certain program i need the links are all expired!

That sounds pretty reasonable. How about a way to quickly send a reupload pm releasers if their download link expired? I might do that. I dont exactly agree with the seperate subforum for dead link releases.

You are asking for mirrors due to not being able to download from x site. This post is saying if the last link goes down, how do we get it back up. They are very different.

No,no,

as I wrote:

This way people can also request a new link if the original links are not active anymore

I talk about the same you do.

The idea is very good I think.

Is there any file hosting that store for over 90 days? Or unlimited? Whats a good CHEAP PAY HOSTING?

Rapidshare premium stores forever, 4shared stores forever as long as you login every 30 days or so and other services store forever if people keep downloading the file(s).

Maybe it's the good moment to make a roundup about rapidshare and those "other services" LH mentioned, especially for the ones who are new at this.

(Maybe in another threat - we are a little off-topic)
