I know this may be a little cheeky to ask this, and I do not want to upset those who have given us such good releases.

But the TomTom issue on this board is now getting pretty crazy. I have been here sice TomTom 5, I have upgraded downgraded tried different maps as releases have come and gone, it has been great.

However, there are now so many TomTom threads here it is now utterly confusing to anyone new coming here. I have recommended this board to a number of friends who have taken one look and run away through confusion, especially lately with versions going up to 6.200 and then suddenly we are back to 6.03.

I am managing fine, but I have become a TomTom agony aunt to those around me who are now completely lost here.

lol, nobody will ban you for making a suggestion. Im just going to move this to the Suggestions/Feedback section. Perhaps we could indeed create a guiding thread in the GPS section that has links to the latest releases of the most popular GPS software. It should simplify searching for the latest version.

plonker, look at the build status and you know what version you have to take. Pocket pc's are still with lower numbers (v6.000/v6.010/v6.020/v6.020b/v6.030). v6.030 is the latest tomtom version for pocket pc's

the other versions such as v6.100/v6.200 are from pna devices that will work on WM 2005 devices, and sometimes on all windows mobile versions (v6.200).

but most likely people will call the topic's like this

Tomtom Navigator v6.100.8330 (from pna, wm5 only)
or
TomTom Navigator 6.100 build 7970 + 8100 (WM5 ONLY)
