Is there anyway to have as a mandatory requirement users identify their PPC and their OS??
This, I think would help everybody.

Yes it's possible, no it won't happen because I would affect around 25000 users who currently have nothing in their profile fields.

Some do, some don't. The most forseeable problem is some people don't have PPCs. I would have to make a script to force people to update their details, and this is more work than it sounds for a one time update. There is also the fact I could make these people display as 'Not Specified' in both fields, most people would leave it like this, so it doesn't really solve anything :/.
