The New York Yankees are Postseason Bound!

The Yankees clinched an American League Wild Card spot with a walk-off win over the Orioles on Saturday. Aaron Hicks produced the game-winning RBI double to secure New York's trip to the Postseason. Hicks and Luke Voit went deep off O's starter David Hess in the second inning to make the Yankees the sixth team with at least 250 homers in a season.

SPORTS CENTER CONTEST #234 SATURDAY 2 FOR 1

For our Saturday 2 for 1, we looked at two different sporting events — NASCAR and College Football — wrapped up into one contest.

After he scraped the wall during Friday’s qualifying for the second race in the Monster Energy Series Playoffs, No. 18 Toyota playoff contender Kyle Busch started at the rear of the field at the Federated Auto Parts 400 held in Richmond, Virginia.
It was a HUGE come from behind win for Busch who made an appearance in the top 10 only when the race was half over! It was neck and neck between Truex Jr. and Harvick for most of the race but neither could hold on to the leader position. Busch started at the rear, methodically worked his way through the field and finally took the lead 37 laps from the end to secure the win and the season sweep at Richmond Raceway on Saturday night.

Blue Mountains Climber to Attend 2020 Olympics

The stars are aligning for Mt Victoria climber Angie Scarth-Johnson this year.

The 14-year-old Australian has just returned from competing for the first time in the International Federation of Sport Climbing Youth World Championships in Moscow, placing in the semi-finals in lead climbing and has also discovered she is eligible to compete in the Olympics because she will “scrape in” by turning 16 in time for the qualifying event for the 2020 games in Tokyo.

“I was not nervous at the world champs; it was my first one and just knowing how hard the other girls from the other countries are trying. For the Olympics I will need to do a lot of international competitions, which is why I went to Moscow.”

GAME ONE - SOCCER
ARSENAL 2 - Everton/DRAW 0

Everton were on the attack in the first half and Arsenal showed some jittery defense but the second half was a different story. Arsenal dominated possession and scored two goals in three minutes to seal their win.

Nearly everyone picked Arsenal and have a shot at the Daily Double
…and most have taken for Seattle with only a handful rooting for Dallas in Game Two.

GAME TWO - FOOTBALL - Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks will get underway in about 4 hours.
