THURSDAY BEST SCORE

PGA action continued on Thursday with the WELLS FARGO CHAMPIONSHIP, a professional golf tournament played at Quail Hollow Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
We divided the top 30 golfers into three groups of 10, and to win we had to predict which group would shoot the lowest score of the day, i.e. Round 1. Our choices — Group 1, 2, 3, or The Field.

A ton of golfers shot well on the first day. 2 people tied for 2nd at 5 under, and 7 shot 4 under.
But the "old pro", Phil Mickelson, was the star of the day. He got off to a solid start by having a birdie on the first hole. But it was his finish of 4 birdies in the last 5 holes that gave him a two stroke lead for the day.
