SPORTS CENTER CONTEST #17MARCH MADNESS DAY ONE UPSETSTHE CONTESTThere will be 16 games played on Thursday, Day One of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. We just have one simple question for you. Will there be more or less upsets on the first day than usual?
INFORMATIONOver the years, we have seen many classic upsets on the first two days of the tournament. Historically, out of the 16 games per day, an average of 5 upsets has occurred. The question for you is, will it be more than 5 or will it be 5 or less. It’s that simple. And as a bonus, we want you to guess the number of upsets you think will happen. If you are correct, you will get a 50 WRZ$ Bonus.
NOTE: For purposes of this contest, we consider any lower seed beating a higher seed (A number 11 seed betting a 6 seed or a 15 seed beating a 2 seed) an upset.
Now, for those who actually want to look at the research and make an educated guess, here is the information on the 16 Thursday games. The “No” represents their seed, and the number in parenthesis is what bookies think the number of points the favorite will win by. So in our first listing, the experts think the favorite, No 3 seed Tennessee, will kill the No. 14 seed by 13 points.
