Figure skating - It's wonderful to watch: beautiful figures, athletic feasts, incredible jumps or spins on ice. The athletes must master at the same time strength, grace, precision skills, it's not just speed as in many other winter sports. They keep on surpassing themselves and each other and making new records: less than a century ago, double jumps was a achievement, now triple is seen as "common" (for men at least) and quad are not that unusual. The way they defy gravity is awe-inspiring.

Hum, today was not a good day for France, not a single medal Austria is now before us...
Congrats to the new countries that got some: Liechtenstein and Poland.
Great Britain did very well with one gold and two bronzes (obviously british people are really good at skeleton )

Hum, Ice, you do have 6 canadians competing in skeleton (3 male, 3 female)
France's got none (obviously, not as many people touched in the head there )
And Great Britain only got two male and two female, but 3 of them won medals (gold and bronze for the ladies, bronze for the gent)

I love gymnastics! That is my favorite Olympic sport. I've been a floor gymnast since I was a kid and also a gymnastics coach so I have a personal interest in the sport. I grew up watching Mary Lou Retton, Dominique Dawes, Shannon Miller etc. They were always an inspiration and I look forward to watching all of the competitions I can. Its ashame that the 2018 Olympic Games has been overshadowed with this abuse scandal! All the gymnasts that have been victimized by Dr. Nassar have my support, I wish them the best and hope they have the courage to step forward and move forward in their personal life and in the gym.
