John, here's a photo of our local 1903 vintage pub/hotel. Link shows that it wants to appear to be more up-market than the Gearin, but I doubt it. View from the back veranda is actually quite a bit better than shown here . . . more of the beautiful Jamison Valley is visible. A great location.

John, here's an aerial photo of the cliff-edge Fairmont Resort, located only about 900 metres from my house. It's one of the three most expensive resorts in the area, with three restaurants and a pub. I once attended a musical in its mini-auditorium. Amazing views, as you might guess. The management now own the Leura Gold Course and have put in a Development Application recently, for a six-story annex. Sometimes when walking I just stroll in the front door and around the two-level lobby, which has a huge fireplace and several picture windows.
