Thank you, my friends, for your kind words, your thoughts and prayers. I had almost 54 years with her, which means a lot of memories to hold on to. As her youngest child, Mom often referred to me as her baby (even into my 40s); what. I would give to hear it one more time.

Garonlord, it's a very, very sad time but you had her for many years. Those of us here beyond a certain age have experienced this and similar loses, and a few more each year, and so our hearts go out to you.

Katy, yes, it looks like it will be fairly warm up here in the mountains today. After entertaining visitors for nearly seven hours yesterday, I'm looking forward to peace and quiet . . .

matina, my son and his family are en route back to the Gold Coast Airport right now. I think they've finished their flight from Christchurch up to Auckland, and may just now be getting ready to get on the plane back to Australia.

Rishi spend most of yesterday afternoon taking it easy on her windowsill seat . . .

Hopefully this will be the last day of cold weather for a while. We are hoping to have temps in the high 60's (15c) in a day or so.

GaronLord... at least you got 54 years. My dad died a few years ago and we all still miss him. But he lived into his late 80's. There are many people who get far less time with their parents. We should be happy with the time we do get. Hang in there.

JG I am shocked you didn’t know Marvel always have two post credits scene...as you can tell by my gifs, I liked the movie a lot it was really really good

In some of the scenes can’t believe I saw them use the Indian embroidered Kurta (men’s dress top of traditional type) I was like someone didn’t do their homework well but then they also showed the Gorilla tribe, they actually worship the Indian Monkey god, not making it up I actually looked it up

It’s definitely worth the IMAX visit, but speaking of IMAX effects I would say Doctor Strange was the best so far....

Yeah... Doc Strange was GREAT!
It was always one of my favorite comics back in the day...
And Benedict Cumberbatch is yet another example of PERFECT casting by Marvel.

mostly only enjoyed Thor Ragnarok this year, not so sure about the others, I tend to stay away from superhero movies, even though I watch some every once in a while

why??? because Im a total moron when it comes to sports! i don't mind parting with wrz. i just have no bloody clue (there i admitted /bared my soul and total stupidity on sports)
i don't like watching them.
the last thing sports related i watched was when we were forced to watch the Americas cup when i was in my second year at high school when Australia won the Americas cup and bob hawk (our Prime Minister) declared a national holiday.
