Hi Ada yes it does have a story sherly had to have it as his sign off avatar for a month after losing a bet with nonny /kat but i cant remember for what exactly he lost the bet for. (but he was a gentleman and honored his punishment and wore it like a man for the whole month) we may be able to appeal to the resident mouse nonny to tell us the whole story nonny please please please tell us nonny!!!! no we dont try to scare them away, i think we are just a little too Rambunctious for them. i think they are just shyer reserved than the rest of us loud mouths, then they never come back. which saddens us as we want to have more folks here just chilling having fun.
It used to be a competition thread where anything, could be posted and every so often a moderator would randomly pick a winner. but it is no longer a competition thread so we all kind of overstayed our welcome and took it over like an abandoned house to just hang out and have fun (withing reason) otherwise sherly the shark gets angry, very very angry (we dont want to get him angry)
so everyone come on in relax have some fun. Its a bit like hotel California in here
time to get lunch on the table. The quicker i feed Satan the faster he will leave

Good (Saturday) morning to all the eastern hemisphere folks . . . matina and Katy, Alessa and Star.

Katy, I took this cockatoo shot a few minutes ago, but had to shoot through the (slightly dirty) window, so as not to scare them away. There are about a dozen there now, not so many as usually. It's up to 14 degrees now, after quite a cool night, a bit cloudy, and I think we may be going to get some rain on Sunday or Monday.

matina, I'm going to follow your example and have a remedial massage this afternoon, since my back pains are getting worse and my osteopath treatments have been rather painful. Will report back later. Have a good weekend. ('You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave.')

Star, I received yet another surprise phone call from the iiNet NBN support office in Manila, telling me that they were going to approach NBN about my many 'tickets' . . . Will let you know what evenuates.

Ada no we used to live with Satan (my father), however i got married moved out. but now mum lives with me they got divorced for obvious reasons. However i am still the ham in that sandwich as an only child i have no other choice. other than to do my duty, go to jail or check out.
I'll be damned literally if i do any of the latter (but it does get very very VERY close sometimes) so it's hi ho hi ho its off to work we go! in this circumstance call me grumpythe pick axe is just in case but latter is more apt!

matina, here's another very recent photo from my brother, taken the other day where he was working, not far from his house on the Maine coast. He says the leaves are just now starting to turn. (No, I can't take credit for the beautiful stained glass parrot in my own house!)

Thanks for your kind words, hoperises. I'll have more photos of my birds soon. I feed them every day, so there are always a lot of them around, especially cockatoos, crimson rosellas and king parrots.

Good luck PJ, I remember back pain from yomping over mountains carry a bergan (Rucksack) that took 2 men to put on my back it was so heavy ... I should have asked the troop officer for a massage after Arr that's just reminded me off him, he was one of the good guys, RIP.
